Victory! Gladman appeal REFUSED.

Inspector Nick Palmer has today (13 November, 2018) published his decision to refuse the Gladman appeal for 245 houses on South Oxfordshire land close to Emmer Green.

His decision notice is clear that development at the site would conflict with South Oxfordshire development policies for where houses should go, and that it would do significant harm to the landscape. It is also clear that SODC has an adequate supply of housing land and that the ‘tilted balance’ does not apply.

Needless to say Gladman may well be tempted to put together an appeal to the High Court, but in the meanwhile, huge congratulations to all those who have contributed in so many invaluable ways. It’s party time!
