The fight goes on

Following the shock decision of SODC to back down on their commitment to refusing the Gladman application, CAGE campaigners have vowed to fight on.

We are preparing for the application to go before South Oxfordshire's planning committee in Didcot, perhaps as early as 6 September. The officer's report, containing a recommendation that the Gladman planning application is accepted, is expected to appear online here a week before. We hope as many objectors as possible will go to the meeting and make their feelings known.

After their recent defeat over Thames Farm at Shiplake, SODC's planners have an increasingly poor record of standing up to slick development companies. According to a damning Telegraph report on how companies like Gladman operate they "normally only target local authorities whose planning is in relative disarray". Don't let SODC be their latest victim!
